Who doesn’t love a good story about a hero?
Someone who beats the odds, who fights for good, who tells an inspiring life tale, and who has awesome strengths, powers, and abilities to help him or her serve the common good. Every superhero has some weaknesses they have to work around, too. However, they work to overcome their weaknesses and use their strengths to accomplish their mission, and that mission is almost always centered around serving others and fighting for what’s right.
We have much to learn from the superheroes in comic books and on the big screen, but there are also super heroes who aren’t fictional – folks in our families, schools, communities, churches – who use their strengths to serve others, who make tough decisions in order to do the right thing, and who embolden and empower others to recognize their gifts and talents and to put them to good use!
Use this Fun Family Dinner to chat about superheroes and how we, too, can be superheroes in our families and in our communities! You can download the free Table Talk and Recipe Guide here.
