This time of year is ripe for snacking, isn’t it? I mean, it’s always a good time for snacking, but this time of year – football parties/tailgates, basketball-watching fests, and fall activities all seem to get people gathered ’round together to hang out and spend time with each other.
It basically makes my heart sing.
Snacks and appetizers are great to offer when you’re hosting folks or when you’re attending a gathering, and sometimes we’re in need of a super easy recipe to make that food happen. Here are some easy appetizer ideas that are easy to make and only have a handful of ingredients – just five ingredients or less!
Slow Cooker Peach & Honey Chipotle Appetizer Meatballs
These are the bomb.com. They’re absolutely delicious, and they’re SO EASY. Three ingredients. You literally pour everything (peach preserves, bbq sauce, and meatballs) into a slow cooker and walk away.
You return to the slow cooker for the sole purpose of eating them! Here’s the exact recipe for them. 🙂
Crescent Roll Meat & Cheese Kolaches
You take all of the hard work out of making these kolaches by making them with pre-made crescent rolls, but you don’t compromise on the flavor. They’re incredibly tasty and make for a hearty appetizer! Add some egg and you’ve got yourself a delicious breakfast! You only need a few things to make them – crescent rolls, meat (sausage, bacon, deli meat), shredded cheese (cheddar, pepper jack, Mozzarella), and if you want to add some kick, put in a few jalapenos. YUM! Head over here to see how to make ’em.
Easy Caprese Skewers
Easy caprese skewers – no baking necessary! You put 3 items on a toothpick – tomatoes, a fresh basil leaf, and a cube of Mozzarella cheese, and then drizzle them with pesto or vinegar & olive oil. So fresh and tasty! Here’s the recipe for the quantities of items I use to make mine.
Mango Jalapeno Cream Cheese Dip
Beat cream cheese, diced mangos, and diced jalapenos together and you’ve got yourself a sweet and savory dip. Mmmm-mmm! You can serve them with Firecrackers if you want to add even more buttery savory-ness to your tastebuds, but you can also just serve this dip with regular ‘ole crackers or tortilla chips.
Here’s the full recipe for the dip, as well as the Firecrackers if you’re wanting to make those to go with!
Jalapeno Poppers with Blackberry Jam
I know you’ve had jalapeno poppers – jalapenos stuffed with cream cheese and wrapped with bacon – but have you had them with blackberry jam? Y’all, I’m telling you. Total game changer. You thought these were good before…
I’m not kidding. Trying them with blackberry jam needs to go on your bucket list. Zero extra work, only one more ingredient, and yet they have a million times more flavor!
Crackers with Cream Cheese & Jelly
So simple you don’t even need a recipe! Unwrap a block of cream cheese, place it on a pretty tray, drizzle some jelly or preserves over it (jalapeno jelly is my favorite, but raspberry chipotle is a close second! You can use regular strawberry or blackberry jelly for this, too!), and serve it with crackers – Ritz, Triscuits, or Wheat Thins. Any will do! Fancy and tasty doesn’t get easier than that!
Do you have any easy-to-make appetizers that only require a few ingredients that I need to try?!
