Hello, friend! Today is such a fun day – several blogger friends and I get to invite you into our homes to give you some inspiration for decorating with indoor Christmas lights! Come join me for a Cozy Christmas Nights Indoor Holiday Light Tour of my own home, and then hop over to check out some inspiration from some other amazing bloggin’ gals! I am excited to join my friend Brittany from Our Home Made Easy who is hosting today’s Christmas light home tour.
Well c’mon in already! Lemme walk you through my little house and show you how I’ve “cozified” certain spaces with those twinkly Christmas lights we all just adore.
The Entryway
We have a small entryway (I’d call it a foyer, but that makes it sounds fancy, and if you can’t tell, we’ve got unfinished projects goin’ on in the background of said foyer. It’s not fancy, but it’s lovely!) – there’s a longer, low table where we have a few pieces of Christmas decor:
I made this O Holy Night sign, and you can, too! It’s one of my favorite pieces of decor for Christmas, and I have a full tutorial for ya! The DIY Rustic Light-Up Christmas Sign is a really simple, yet gorgeous piece of decor to make for this time of year! You can go check out the full tutorial on how to make one for your home or as a gift for someone!
And then next to the sign, I’ve got some old antique books, some Christmas floral, and a quaint cross. And of course, a candle – can’t properly welcome people in without a candle.
A Little Beyond the Entryway
I set up my nativity set in this main hall area that’s close to the entryway. I absolutely love my nativity set! It was a gift from my godparents several, several years ago. Long before I could fully appreciate it. It’s now one of my most favorite gifts I’ve ever received. I love the hand-crafted quality and the Scriptures on each piece.
I normally like doing somewhat of a nativity display, but it wasn’t until this year that I put the lights under the burlap like that – I think that helps give it a much cozier, quaint look, and it also illuminates the set even more.
I also bordered it with that gorgeous garland and a strand of lights, and I think that just really made it feel complete! Actually, Jesus makes it complete, but fellow aesthetic-lovers, you know what I’m sayin.’ 🙂
The Living Area
My Christmas tree, of course! This tree is so very special to me – it was my Granny’s before she passed away 10 years ago. This thing sheds like crazy these days, but I think I’ll be using this tree until it looks like the Charlie Brown one. It’s so sentimental and I’m so grateful for it!
What ornaments do you have on your tree?! We’ve got some “just because they’re pretty” ones, but most of them carry a story with them.
I love all the history contained on this tree. Lots of memories hang on here. I bet you have the same on yours.
The Kitchen
This cute little K-Cup Christmas tree is a perfect little kitchen-themed tree to dress up your counter! Useful, too!
Super easy to assemble the little ribbon hangers to hang the K-Cups, and those ribbons are reusable, so as soon as you use a K-Cup, you can refill it with another one right away. Here’s the full tutorial for how to put together the K-Cup Christmas tree.
And, naturally, I have my Texas decor. Do Texans have issues, or do other folks in other states also decorate with their state shapes?
That farmhouse style “Merry Christmas Y’all” platter is actually a platter for cookies – I just use it as a display piece when I’m not using it for cookies. It was a fun and easy DIY project that you can customize if you don’t say “y’all” – I’ve got some options for y’all.
I couldn’t help it.
Head over here to get that tutorial!
The Dining Area
This hutch display is one of my favorite things in my house. I love giving it a little glow with that garland & lights!
No, I actually don’t typically have Christmas lights on my table. I wish.
Want to know a blogger secret? I needed more light in that area to help give you a better image of what’s actually there, and I didn’t want to ruin the ambiance, so I threw that strand of lights into the centerpiece to help give off some light to the things around it.
But, now that they’re there, I’m so tempted to run out to Hobby Lobby and get myself a battery-powered set to put in the centerpiece! They’re so pretty!
Thanks for stoppin’ on by, friend! So glad to have you!
Tour doesn’t end here…
